Museum of Fine Arts

Alexandria has always been a showcase of Mediterranean beauty and the Museum of Fine Arts on Manasha Street is no exception. Every two years it organizes a biennial to display art from around the Mediterranean, the museum of fine arts displays astonishing pieces created by Egyptian and foreign artists including sculptures, paintings, architectural patterns and photographs.


The museum was once known as Hussein Sobhy Museum, this museum was opened in 1945; it is composed of many showrooms, culture center and an art library. The museum includes flourishing sculpture, architecture and photography by contemporary Egyptian as well as foreign artists, the building itself dates back to 1954. You will be allowed to take photographs inside the museum.
