Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul – Welcome & Hotel Transfer

Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, a friendly delegate from Flying Carpet Tours will be holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred to your hotel to relax and recover from your journey. Get ready for an exciting adventure starting tomorrow.
Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul City Tour – Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace & Blue Mosque

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Then enjoy a guided city tour in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle:

• Hagia Sophia – Explore this iconic landmark, originally a Christian church, later converted into a mosque, now a museum.
• Topkapi Palace – Discover its exhibition halls, Treasury section, and the famous Harem.
• Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque) – Admire its six minarets and stunning Ottoman architecture, best viewed from the Hippodrome.
• Grand Bazaar – Wander through one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant, then transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Bosphorus Cruise & Istanbul’s Famous Bazaars

After breakfast, explore more of Istanbul:

• Spice Bazaar – Immerse yourself in vibrant colors, aromas, and flavors.
• Bosphorus Cruise – Cruise along the strait linking Europe and Asia, passing landmarks like the Bosphorus Bridge, Çiragan Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace, and Rumeli Hisarı Fortress.
• Camlica Hill – Enjoy panoramic views of Istanbul, the Sea of Marmara, and the Princes’ Islands.
• Beylerbeyi Palace – Visit this elegant Ottoman summer residence.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant, then return to your hotel.

Day 4: Fly to Cappadocia – Goreme & Pasabagi

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kayseri, then drive to Cappadocia:

• Goreme Open Air Museum – Explore this vast monastic complex with ancient cave churches.
• Ortahisar Panorama – Enjoy stunning views of the surrounding valleys.
• Pasabagi (Valley of the Priests) – Discover the famous fairy chimneys.
• Devrent Valley – Take memorable photos at the unique rock formations.
• Goreme Panorama – See the breathtaking Cappadocia landscape.

Lunch at a local restaurant, then visit local Turkish crafts workshops. Return to your hotel in Cappadocia.
Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 5: Cappadocia Tour – Valleys, Underground City & Uchisar Castle

After breakfast, continue exploring Cappadocia:

• Valley of Pink and Red – Walk among stunning rock formations and observe local flora and fauna.
• Valley of the Pigeons – Enjoy lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
• Underground City – Explore one of the best-preserved and deepest underground cities in the region.
• Valle de Amor & Cavusin Village – Visit the Christian village and red valley.
• Uchisar Castle – Explore the castle, workshops, and local carpet, onyx, and jewelry shops.

After your tour, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. A Flying Carpet Tours delegate will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 6: Departure from Istanbul

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel. Then a Flying Carpet Tours delegate will escort you to Istanbul International Airport for your departure. Take home unforgettable memories of Istanbul and Cappadocia!
