Mohamed Pasha Mosque or Alabaster Mosque was constructed by Yousef Bouhnaq, who was a Turkish architect who came to Cairo from Istanbul to construct this marvelous mosque for Mohammed Ali Pasha who ruled Egypt in 1805 till 1849 A.D, moreover the construction of this mosque took a long time as they continued in building even after the death of the ruler Mohammed Ali and it was completed during the successors after him, as well as Mohammed Ali Pasha was buried in the southern east side of Beit Al Salah, which located in the right side of the main entrance of the major section, you’ll enjoy exploring the beautiful designing of this fabulous mosque as it had a square shape and every side of it is 41m, it also contain a central dome in its roof that stands on four huge arches and supported by huge piers, as well as its decoration shed light on the charming Ottoman and Islamic design.
