Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Cairo, Private Airport Welcome

  • Our tour manager meets you at Cairo International Airport with a sign bearing your name, helps you through the arrival process, and takes you by air-conditioned van to your hotel. After check-in, they'll go through your itinerary and confirm the pick-up times for each tour, so you start your 5 days in Egypt with no stress.

Meals: No meals

Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Grand Egyptian Museum

  • After breakfast, meet your private English-speaking Egyptologist guide and head to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), the Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren), and the Pyramid of Menkaure (Mykerinus). Take your photos at the panoramic viewpoint, where all three pyramids fit in one frame. Then visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple to learn about ancient Egyptian rituals. After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, where modern design meets Egypt's treasures, including the Tutankhamun collection. Return to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

Day 3: Fly to Luxor, Karnak & Luxor Temples

  • After breakfast, transfer to Cairo domestic airport for your flight to Luxor. Your guide meets you on arrival and takes you to Karnak Temple, one of the world's largest open-air museums, with towering columns and detailed hieroglyphs. Then visit Luxor Temple and walk among its grand halls and monumental statues of the pharaohs. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel to relax. Optional: add the Karnak Sound and Light Show in the evening. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple & Colossi of Memnon, Then Fly to Cairo

  • After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of the pharaohs, and enter three royal tombs to see their well-preserved wall paintings and hieroglyphs. Next, see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahari), set against the cliffs and built for one of Egypt's most powerful female rulers. Your last stop is the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues about 18 meters (60 feet) tall that once guarded the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Then transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo and a hotel transfer for your last night.

Day 5: Departure from Cairo

  • Enjoy your last Egyptian breakfast, then a Flying Carpet Tours representative takes you to Cairo International Airport for your flight home. You'll leave with great memories of Cairo and Luxor, and we hope to welcome you back soon.
