Day 01: Arrival in Muscat – Welcome to Oman

• Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by a Flying Carpet Tours representative holding a sign with your name. You will be assisted and transferred to your hotel in Muscat. Take time to relax and recover from your journey, preparing for the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 02: Muscat City Tour – Culture & Heritage

• After breakfast at your hotel, begin a guided Muscat city tour in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Visit the magnificent Sultan’s Palace and explore the Bait Al Zubair Museum, home to an impressive collection of traditional weapons, khanjars, household items, and Omani costumes. Continue to the scenic Muttrah Corniche, located near the historic Muttrah Souk and the main port of Oman. End the tour with a visit to the iconic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, where you can take memorable photos before returning to your hotel.

Day 03: Rustaq & Nakhal – Forts and Natural Springs

• Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting out on a full-day excursion through Oman’s historic heartland. Travel to Rustaq to visit the impressive Rustaq Fort and the magnificent Al Hazm Fort, one of Oman’s most striking castles. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Nakhal to explore Nakhal Fort, the highest fort in Oman. Visit the beautiful Al Thowara Oasis and its natural hot springs, surrounded by lush palm groves. Return to Muscat in the evening.

Day 04: Nizwa, Bahla & Jabrin – Oman’s Ancient Capitals

• After breakfast, depart for the historic Nizwa region. En route, stop at the Amouage Perfume Factory to learn about Oman’s world-renowned luxury fragrance brand. Continue to Nizwa Fort and the bustling Nizwa Souk, famous for its silver jewelry and handicrafts, and admire the iconic 17th-century Round Tower. Stop for photos at the UNESCO-listed Bahla Fort before visiting Jabrin Castle, built in 1675 and once a renowned center for science, medicine, and Islamic education. Transfer to your hotel in Nizwa.

Day 05: Wadi Bani Khalid & Wahiba Sands – Oasis and Desert Adventure

• After breakfast, travel to the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid, famous for its turquoise pools, flowing streams, and dramatic rock formations. Continue to Al Wasil, where a 4x4 vehicle will take you into the golden dunes of Wahiba Sands, a vast desert stretching nearly 200 km. Discover desert wildlife, enjoy optional camel riding, and visit a traditional Bedouin home to taste authentic Omani coffee and dates.

Day 06: Sur & Coastal Wonders – From Desert to Sea

• Enjoy breakfast before heading toward the coastal city of Sur. Visit the fishermen’s harbor and the traditional dhow-building yard. Continue to Qalhat for a photo stop at Bibi Miriam’s Tomb, then travel through Tiwi and Fins, known for their white sands, turquoise waters, and breathtaking scenery. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the spectacular Bimah Sinkhole, where you can swim in its crystal-clear, half-salty water. Pass through the fishing town of Quriyat before returning to Muscat.
