Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Muscat – Welcome to Oman

• Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, you will proceed directly to immigration, where the procedures are quick and straightforward. After clearing immigration and customs, you will enter the main arrivals hall, where our friendly and professional representative from Flying Carpet Tours will be waiting to greet you. You will then be escorted to your comfortable vehicle for a smooth transfer to your hotel.

Day 02: Muscat City Tour – Culture & Heritage

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Pickup from your hotel to begin your Muscat city tour
• Visit Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque – One of the largest mosques in the Middle East, known for its stunning Islamic architecture, grand chandelier, and handmade Persian carpet
• Visit Mutrah Souq – A traditional market filled with spices, perfumes, silver jewelry, and authentic Omani souvenirs
• Visit Bait Al Zubair Museum – Discover Oman’s rich heritage through exhibits of traditional costumes, weapons, and historical artifacts
• Photo stop at Al Alam Palace & view Al Jalali Fort and Al Mirani Fort – The ceremonial palace of the Sultan surrounded by historic forts
• Return to your hotel
• Overnight stay at your hotel in Muscat

Day 03: Nizwa – Jabreen – Bahla

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Pickup from hotel
• Visit Nizwa Fort & Nizwa Souq – Explore the iconic fort with its massive tower and enjoy the traditional souq known for handicrafts and silver jewelry
• Lunch stop (included if part of the package)
• Visit Jabrin Castle – Discover a beautifully preserved castle featuring ornate ceilings, wooden carvings, and historic rooms
• Photo stop at Bahla Fort – View this UNESCO-listed fort and walk around its impressive ancient walls
• Return to hotel in Nizwa
• Overnight at Nizwa hotel

Day 04: Explore Nizwa & Wahiba 

• Breakfast at your hotel and pickup to start the day’s journey
• Visit Birkat al Mouz – Photo stop at the old abandoned mud-brick houses, showcasing traditional Omani village architecture
• Visit Ibra Souq – Explore the local market, famous for handicrafts, traditional fabrics, and spices
• Visit Munsifah (Old Ibra) – Walk through the historic area of Ibra, with old streets and heritage buildings reflecting Oman’s past
• Explore Wahiba Sands – Experience the desert landscape with dune bashing and photo stops at high sand dunes
• Check in to the desert camp and enjoy the scenic desert sunset
• Return to the camp for a traditional BBQ dinner and overnight stay in Wahiba Sands

Day 05: Wahiba – Sur – Ras Al Hadd

• Breakfast at the hotel and pickup to begin the day’s journey
• Visit a traditional Bedouin House – Experience the lifestyle of Oman’s desert people and see their traditional home and customs
• Explore Wadi Bani Khalid – Enjoy the stunning oasis with clear water pools and natural beauty; picnic or BBQ lunch can be included
• Visit Sur Dhow Factory – See traditional wooden dhow boats being handcrafted, a centuries-old Omani maritime tradition
• Arrive at Ras Al Hadd – Check in at the hotel and have dinner
• Turtle Watching Experience – Witness sea turtles nesting on the beach, a remarkable natural spectacle (timing depends on turtle activity)
• Overnight stay at hotel in Ras Al Hadd or Sur

Day 06: Sur – Qalhat – Bimah Sinkhole – Muscat

• Breakfast at the hotel and pickup to start the journey back to Muscat
• Photo stop at Bibi Miriam Tomb – Historic tomb of a local queen, offering insight into Oman’s past and scenic coastal views
• Explore Wadi Shab or Wadi Arbayeen – A stunning canyon with turquoise pools, perfect for a short hike or picnic lunch if included
• Visit Bimah Sinkhole – Natural limestone sinkhole with clear blue water, ideal for photos and a quick swim
• Return to Muscat and overnight stay at your hotel

Day 07: Departure
