Itinerary

Day 01: Exciting Arrival in Cairo – Egypt and Petra tour Begins

• Upon arrival in Cairo, a representative from Flying Carpet Tours will meet you at the airport, holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred to your hotel to relax after your journey, preparing for the start of your Egypt and Petra tour. Rest and unwind in Cairo for the night.

Day 02: Pyramids of Giza, Memphis, and Sakkara

• After breakfast at your hotel, your Egypt and Petra tour kicks off with a visit to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you'll see the colossal statue of Ramses II. Next, head to Sakkara to see the iconic Step Pyramid of King Zoser. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, then continue your Egypt tour with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza. Explore the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, and take in panoramic views. Visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, then enjoy some free time for shopping.
• At the end of the day, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel. Later, you can optionally enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the pyramids before returning to your hotel to rest for the night.

Day 03: Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Citadel of Salah El-Din, and Old Cairo

• Enjoy breakfast before starting your Egypt and Petra tour of Cairo’s most iconic sites. Visit the Egyptian Museum to see priceless antiquities, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun. (Optional: Extra fee for the Mummy Room). Afterward, head to the Citadel of Salah El-Din and explore the stunning Alabaster Mosque, known as the Mohamed Ali Mosque.
• After lunch, visit Old Cairo to see the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. In the evening, enjoy an optional Dinner Cruise with belly dancing. Return to your hotel afterward, where you will rest and spend the night.

Day 04: Exciting Cairo to Amman Transfer

• After breakfast, your Egypt and Petra tour continues as you transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Amman, Jordan. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Amman to relax and refresh after your flight. You’ll have the rest of the day to unwind in your hotel before spending the night in Amman.

Day 05: Scenic Mount Nebo, Madaba, and the Dead Sea 

• After breakfast, your Egypt and Petra tour continues as you travel to Mount Nebo, where you can visit the tomb of Prophet Moses and enjoy sweeping views of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Continue your Petra tour with a visit to Madaba, known for its ancient mosaics, including the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem.
• Then, head to the Dead Sea, where you can float in the mineral-rich waters and relax. After your Dead Sea experience, return to your hotel in Amman to rest. Spend the night in Amman.

Day 06: Petra – The Rose-Red City

• After breakfast, today is dedicated entirely to exploring Petra, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world and the highlight of your Egypt and Petra tour. Enter through the narrow Siq, leading you to the Treasury, and marvel at the rock-cut architecture of the ancient city. Explore Petra’s tombs, temples, and the grand amphitheater. You can even ride a horse or camel to the entrance. After a full day of discovery, return to Amman to relax and enjoy your final night in the city.

Day 07: Memorable Departure from Amman 

• On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before a Flying Carpet Tours representative transfers you to Amman International Airport for your flight home. With fond memories of your Egypt and Petra tour, your journey concludes today.
