Day 2: Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum & Overnight Sleeper Train

After breakfast, dive straight into Egypt’s most iconic treasure—the Great Pyramids of Giza. Behold the majestic Pyramid of Khufu, capture Instagram-worthy photos with the Sphinx, and stroll through the Valley Temple where rituals of the afterlife once took place.

Break for a traditional Egyptian lunch, then head to the stunning Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)—a modern marvel where you’ll see royal mummies, ancient artifacts, and the legendary treasures of King Tutankhamun.
In the evening, board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan, with dinner served onboard as the train whisks you across the desert.

Day 3: Aswan Sightseeing – High Dam & Philae Temple

After breakfast on the train, you’ll arrive in Aswan and board your deluxe Nile River Cruise, your floating hotel for the next four nights.

Start exploring with a visit to the mighty High Dam, a triumph of modern engineering. Then enjoy a short boat ride to the island temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Its peaceful location surrounded by water makes it a perfect photo spot.

Return to the cruise for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure as the cruise sets sail. Enjoy a delicious dinner onboard as the Nile glides by.

Day 4: Optional Abu Simbel & Kom Ombo Temple

Back onboard, the cruise sails toward Kom Ombo, where you’ll explore the unique twin temple dedicated to Sobek (crocodile god) and Horus the Elder. Enjoy dinner as the ship sails on to Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu Temple & Temples of Luxor

After breakfast, take a horse-drawn carriage to the grand Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples.

Return to the cruise and sail towards Luxor, home to the most impressive temples of ancient Thebes. Explore the magnificent Karnak Temple, with its giant columns and sacred lake, followed by the elegant Luxor Temple lit up in the evening.

Day 6: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple & Train to Cairo

In the evening, transfer to the train station and board your overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.
